Lover’s Key State Park

Our final wedding on this third weekend in October was for a couple who traveled from Washington State to get married in Southwest Florida. Arrangements were made through Wedding Planner, Stacy Gerhart of Isabella’s Island Style Weddings. Loved the colors at this wedding and all the special details!

Bride, Kathy chose the Seaside Strings Violin and Cello Duo to provide music for her ceremony and reception. Christina Bowman of Beautiful Florida Weddings was the Officiant.

We arrived at 2:30 and got to park our cars at the ceremony site. Guests were to arrive at 3pm  by the tram. We began to play at 3:00 when a few guests arrived. Even though most of them were delayed and arrived around 3:20,  the ceremony began close to the scheduled time of 3:30. We played a mix of pops and classical . Here was our playlist for the prelude: Mouret, Rondeau; Arioso by Bach; Marry Me, Train; Canon in D, Pachelbel; Free, Zac Brown;  Faithfully, Journey; Movements from Handel Water Music Suite.

For the ceremony: The Prayer:  Entrance of the Officiate; Seating of 2              Mothers; Groom; Best Man & Maid of Honor; 2 Ring Bearers together; Bridesmaid; Flower Girl

Bridal Chorus, Wagner: Entrance of the Bride

                                    Air, Handel: Sand Ceremony

                                    Wedding March, Mendelssohn: Recessional

Postlude: Just the Way You Are Amazing, Bruno Mars

It was mostly a cloudy day but when the ceremony began, the sun began to shine. A good omen!

We moved to the gazebo for the cocktail reception. Kathy chose a lot of fun songs for us, including a couple new ones.

Beautiful Day, U2

Because You Love Me, Celine Dion

All I Ask of You from Phantom

All of Me, John Legend

At Last, Etta James

A Thousand Years, Christina Perri

Best Day of My Life, American Authors

Bittersweet Symphony, The Verve

Clocks, Coldplay

Don’t Stop Beleivin’, Journey

Finally, Fergie

Firework, Katy Perry

Fly Me to the Moon, Sinatra

I Finally Found Someone, Adams & Streisand

Open Arms, Journey

What a Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong

We didn’t get to play all that were on her list, but I always have clients choose more music than we may need. We concluded at 5:15. Guests were due to take the tram and bus to the country club for dinner.

We hope everyone had a wonderful time in Florida and we wish all the best to the newlyweds, Kathy and Rich!
