The Club at Mediterra is such a lovely and elegant venue in Naples, FL. Audrie and Jeffrey chose this venue for their February wedding and the Seaside String Trio to provide the ceremony and cocktail reception music. The ceremony was set for 4:30 with prelude music beginning at 4pm. The weather was a little iffy when we arrived but cleared up over time and became a beautiful evening for this celebration.
I worked with Audrie mostly through emails but I could tell she gave her music selections a lot of consideration. She decided on a mix of music for the ceremony and all popular music for the reception. Her choices for prelude were Purcell, Rondeau; Forever in Love by Kenny G; Entrance of the Queen of Sheba by Handel; For Always by Josh Groban; Marry You by Bruno Mars; Dodi Li; All I Ask of You from Phantom, Te Deum by Charpentier and Handel Water Music.
When Lindy, the coordinator at the Club, signaled that they were ready to begin, we began to play Can You Feel the Love Tonight for the Seating of the Parents. When the Mother of the Bride was seated we began to play Pachelbel’s Canon in D for the Entrance of the Wedding Party. Christina Bowman, Officiate, led the way down the sidewalk followed by the Groom, Groomsmen, 5 Bridesmaids and the Ring bearer and Flower Girl. When everyone was in place, we began to play God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton for the Entrance of the Bride. The couple chose to do a wine ceremony and we played From This Moment On as Christina explained the significance and the couple drank from the wine glass. For the Recessional we played Handel’s Le Rejouissance and as the guests made their way to the reception, we played Vivaldi’s Spring.
Here is the playlist for the Reception: All of Me, John Legend; Brown Eyes Girl, Van Morrison; Don’t Stop Believin’ , Journey; Firework, Katie Perry; God Only Knows, Beach Boys; Good Life, OneRepublic; A Heart Full of Love from Les Miserables; Hey Soul Sister, Train; How Sweet It Is, James Taylor; It’s Your Love, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill; Just a Kiss Goodnight, Lady Antebellum; Just the Way You Are Amazing, Bruno Mars; Livin’ on a Prayer, Bon Jovi; Over the Rainbow from Wizard of Oz.
We really love surprising everyone with the popular music selections we can play. We got many compliments, even from the staff at Mediterrra!
Thank you, Audrie and Jeffrey we wish you all the very best!!
