Every wedding is special and each couple finds a way to make their ceremony memorable. I can’t wait to share with you how Megan and Sean created such a special moment in their ceremony and we were a part of it. Their destination wedding ceremony was held at the Marco Beach Ocean Resort on Marco Island FL and they chose the Seaside Strings Violin and Cello Duo to provide their ceremony music. There was no rain to worry about on this October Sunday and although it was fairly hot, it was a beautiful evening for this beach wedding.
We played a mix of music for the guests as they awaited the start of the ceremony. Then as the first couple came down the boardwalk, we began to play Candle in the Wind. Megan and Sean called this the Flower Remembrance Ceremony. Seven of their family members were asked to bring a flower in memory of those who could not be there and place it in a vase on the table under the arch. Those that were honored were the Groom’s Grandparents, the Bride’s Grandparents and the Bride’s Mother. It was such a special touch and they picked the perfect music. It was a wonderful tribute to their loved ones.
As the last person to leave their flower sat down, we changed the mood entirely with the playing of Mouret’s Rondeau. This lively piece signaled the celebration we were all here for, the wedding of Megan and Sean. The Groomsmen made their way onto the beach followed by the Bridesmaids, the two ring bearers and the two flower girls. The traditional Bridal Chorus announced the arrival of our bride, Megan.
Megan’s brother Phil performed the ceremony. Lots of laughter and love poured from everyone there. As the couple kissed for the first time as husband and wife, we began to play Vivaldi’s Spring and the wedding party made their way back down the aisle. As everyone enjoyed the champagne toast, we played Le Rejouissance , Just the Way You Are Amazing and Lucky.
I know these two are lucky to have each other and we wish them a lifetime of happiness!
