We perform at so many wonderful venues. It is always fun to perform at somewhere new. On this beautiful October afternoon on Marco Island, I had the honor to perform violin solo at the wedding ceremony of Lou and Cindy. It was a small family affair and they chose a private home on Marco for this special event. I am excited to add this to my blog so other future brides who may read this can learn other possibilities for their destination wedding in southwest Florida. Named Sola Gratia and described as a luxury bayfront estate, the home was beautiful and had a breathtaking view. The ceremony was held poolside and the weather could not have been more perfect.
I began to play a half hour before the ceremony and classical music was requested. Soon Phyllis of Weddings by Phyllis , the Officiant, arrived and we quickly coordinated how the Processional would go. When Lou appeared with his children at the door leading to the terrace, I began to play the Mouret, Rondeau. For Cindy’s Entrance, I performed the Trumpet Voluntary by Clarke. Purcell’s Trumpet Tune was requested for the Recessional. As pictures were being taken, I continued to play lively classical pieces. Cindy looked so beautiful and you could see her love for Lou as she looked up at him. I really enjoyed being a part of this joyous occasion! I wish all the best to the entire family!
