Naples Beach Hotel Wedding

What a beautiful day for a Wedding! The first cold front of the fall came through this morning bringing ideal conditions for our Bride and Groom, Lissa and Ross. NO worries about rain today! Here we are at the Naples Beach Hotel on the gulf lawn. It was a bit breezy but did not pose any problems for us. Melissa Read at the Resort is always wonderful to work with. All was ready when we arrived. I took this picture before the guests began to arrive. The couple chose the Seaside String Trio so I was joined by  Joan Stewart on violin, Diane Coffman on cello and I was on viola.

Suzi Freeman , the Officiate, arrived and took this picture of us as we were getting ready to start. Suzi and I had spoken earlier in the week so we were all set. Melissa came by discuss the order of the Processional and then we were all set to go. A relative of the Bride, Roger from Michigan, came by to chat and also took some pictures of us. Lissa and Ross live in Georgia and so many of the guests were from out-of-town.

Lissa told me she loved classical music and had only one request for prelude music leaving the other choices up to me. Her request was for Clair de Lune by Debussy. We complemented that with selections by Bach and Handel. Once the guests were in place, a signal from Melissa meant all was ready for the Processional to begin. Lissa chose the Pachelbel Canon in D for the seating of the family and her two Bridesmaids. Her choice of Bach, Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring for her entrance was perfect. The Ceremony concluded with Handel’s Le Rejouissance as the Recessional.

Cocktail Hour was also on the lawn and perfect for the guests to be a part of the pictures and also for the couple to mingle with their guests. We continued to play a variety of classical music including Strauss Waltzes,  selections by Mozart, Bach, Bizet and  Faure. A very cute little boy, child of one of the guests, started dancing to our music. Obviously already showing not only very good taste but a budding music talent. He was definitely intrigued by Diane’s cello.

The sunset was just absolutely gorgeous. The orange hues just lit up the sky. It was wonderful to meet Lissa and Ross and be a part of their special day! Congratulations to the happy couple!
